UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has published the August report on civilian casualties as a result of fighting in the Donbass.
According to the organization, from the beginning of hostilities in Donbas total of 22,212 injured people, 9,569 were killed and more than 2,000 of the total number of those killed were civilians.
The organization notes that it is only the data that could document and suggests that the death toll could be higher.
The report states that in August there are generally 91 civilian casualties, including 16 dead and 75 wounded.
This is the highest since August last year.
In June and July total of 20 civilians were killed and 122 injured.
Most of them (70% of total) suffered from attacks from Minsk agreements prohibited weapons.
UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs also stressed that the settlements along the boundary suffer from lack of gas and drinking water.
