Parliaments of Ukraine and Canada intend to ratify the agreement on free trade zone by the end of 2016.
The broadcast "Channel 5 " said Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko.
"There is an agreement at the level of parliaments and influential members of both parties. There is an optimistic forecast to the end of the year we should be ratified free trade agreement " - said Shevchenko.
He noted that the introduction of a free trade zone will allow companies of both countries to public procurement at national level.
"Agree, it is very important in terms of fighting corruption, we, with our corruption in public tenders, " - he said.
Thus, according to Shevchenko, market access in Canada will be accessible for Ukrainian producers. Also, an agreement on free trade zone will facilitate the development of small and medium business in Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News reported, public joint stock company "Ukrzaliznytsya " reached an agreement with the company Bombardier (Canada), a joint venture for the production of locomotives in Ukraine.
Ukraine and Canada agreed to start negotiations on visa liberalization.
