The leader of the occupation authorities in Donetsk region, Alexander Zakharchenko threatened Sept. 16 to sign a "decree " to hold local elections on October 18.
He stated this on Tuesday, reports the agency DAN controlled by the militants.
"Most likely, tomorrow will sign a decree on elections, focus on the 18th including " - said Zakharchenko.
According to him, "in principle, nothing changes, preparation for elections comes his way. "

This agency controlled by the militants said that the local elections will be held "on the implementation of the Protocol Minsk II on September 5, 2014 and a set of measures on 12 February 2015. "
"Elections will be held on the basis of the Constitution " DNR "and its laws, and subject to the provisions of the Law of Ukraine on the special status of Donbass " - says the agency.
It is known that Minsk agreements of elections is two points. Paragraph 4 underlines that the beginning of dialogue on the modalities of the local elections in accordance with Ukrainian law and the law on local self-government interim order begins on the first day after the withdrawal of all heavy weapons, which should be recognized by OSCE.
Paragraph 12 provides that questions concerning the local elections will be discussed and agreed with the representatives of individual regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions within the Trilateral contact group. But elections must be conducted in accordance with OSCE standards in monitoring by the OSCE ODIHR.
As you know, the OSCE ODIHR refused to monitor local psevdovybory the occupied territories, saying that would only observe the elections in localities where elections will be held according to the Ukrainian legislation.
