The new Ukrainian-German-Swiss project " Integrated Development Project in Ukraine " presented today at a briefing Chernivtsi Mayor Alex Kaspruk, project manager " Integrated Development in Ukraine " Matthias Brandt and expert Marc Shvade.
This project is implemented by the German government company " Deutsche Gesellschaft f 252; r Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH " fund governments of Germany and Switzerland. The project " Integrated Development Project in Ukraine " until the end of 2018. Chernivtsi addition, it involved Poltava, Vinnitsa and Zhitomir. The German government is funding the project in the amount of 4 million euros, Swiss Government provides almost 2 million.
Alex Kaspruk reported that the project will apply the tools that have proven to be effective in international practice planning of cities. On April 26, the first meeting of an interdisciplinary working group for the project. Participants will be representatives of the main departments of the city government and NGOs.
" Together with colleagues from Switzerland and Germany, we want to first conduct a comprehensive analysis of available data and based on them to develop a new plan for integrated development. This process will involve active Chernivtsi, public institutions, it will be the result of our joint work, which meets the demands of our community and time " - said the mayor.
Matthias Brandt explained that the project to develop an integrated plan will contribute to the implementation of Ukraine Leipzig Charter on Sustainable European cities committed to fulfill that city of the European Union.
The project provides assistance in the development Cherinvtsyam concept development. Indeed, as poyasnnyuyut German guests, investments come where there is good planning. It help in the planning of urban areas, the transformation of the city more friendly for townspeople will provide German experts.
They also plan to take a few more specific projects to promote fundraising and attracting additional funds from other programs.
